Traditional Bowie Knives
Bowies are probably my most favourite type of knife to make. There are several here, all forged from various tool steels including W-1, 1080 and 5160, with a variety of handle materials and finishes.
"Antiqued" using an acid wash to make it look like it's 150 years old...
A traditional Bowie, based on real antiques and descriptions of the first "original" Bowie - 9 1/4 inch by 1 1/2 inch blade, false edge, coffin style...
"Rising Sun Bowie" Forged from 5160 tool steel with a mosaic handle of purple heart and walnut. Fire-blued guard and pommel.
Small Bowie forged from 5160, zebra wood scales.
