1st Knife
I have been lurking around on this forum for about 1 year. I finally joined a month ago. I bought my first book on making knives 35 years ago and I am finally getting around to it.
This forum has been a lot of inspiration for me to move ahead and make my first knife. Especially the positive words of Ray for new knife makers, and two people that I never pass up looking at their knives, is M.V. Peterson & Art in N.C. these two people are truly artist to me, but there are many others that I admire. This is my first shot at a knife, it's 1084, heat treated with a torch, it came out about 58 -59 with the Rockwell testing files, all I have to check this is the files, which I am not very impressed with. The blade is not sharpened yet. It has snake wood handles, with copper liners and pins.
Sorry my photography is not the greatest. I appreciate any critiques or comments.
Thanks again, Mark, Art & Ray for being an inspiration. Lee
