I made my first knife while at Maine College of Art in 1991. I graduated in 1993 with a BFA in Jewelry and Metalsmithing. In between then and now I have traveled extensively and worked for several well-known jewelers before coming back to bladesmithing. I have always wanted to make objects of function and beauty and I find the blade makes a perfect forum to express these qualities.

I make all of my knives from beginning to end; I find Sole Authorship is important to artistic integrity and I work almost exclusively in my own hand-forged Damascus.

I have been making knives full-time for almost a year now and I look forward to a long and prolific career as a custom knife maker here in the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont.
